I decided to make a black and white (and red) version of this drawing, as an homage to the incredible art work drawn by Kentaro Miura, as seen in the Manga.

I finally got around to drawing some headcanon Berserk fan art!
I originally drew the line art during a Twitch stream with the intention to paint it off stream, but unfortunately that never happened. I wanted to paint it and I thought about doing it all the time trying to figure out the process I'd use, but It had been so long since I had painted anything that I felt like I had forgotten how to paint entirely, which ultimately scared me off. However, when my internet went down for a long period of time I decided it was time to take a crack at it. I was hard at work on this piece everyday for about 3 weeks, finding reference images, putting down values, searching for just the right brush for the right situation, and slowly it started to come together. At first I had zero confidence in this piece, I couldn't tell you how many times I thought it was ugly and wanted to give up because it was a waste of my time and I simply lacked the skills I needed to paint this, but as I continued I just kept telling myself "trust the process", and eventually it ended up as something I'm proud of, which isn't something that happens often.
